NinjaOne PSA Integration Setup

1. Create required settings on NinjaOne

Before you begin: Enable ticketing in NinjaOne.

The Guardz integration requires NinjaOne Ticketing to be enabled.

  • In NinjaOne, go to Administration > Apps > Ticketing.

  • Click Enable.

  • When prompted, enter a ticketing email domain and complete the setup.

2. Create the client app in NinjaOne

  • In NinjaOne, go to Administration > Apps > API.

  • Open the Client app IDs tab and click Add client app.

  • Fill in the fields as follows:

    • Application platform: Select Web (PHP, Java, .Net Core, etc.).

    • Name: Enter a name you’ll recognize, for example Guardz.

    • Redirect URI: Paste the redirect URI shown on the NinjaOne integration setup screen in Guardz. It matches your Guardz region and looks like this:
      https://app.<region>.guardz.com/api/psa-integration/ninjaone-callback
(where <region> is us, eu, or au).

    • Scopes: Select Monitoring, Management, and Offline access. You don’t need to select Control.

    • Allowed grant types: Select Authorization code and Refresh token.

  • Click Save.

  • Copy the Client ID and Client secret and store them somewhere secure.

Please note:

NinjaOne displays the Client secret only once. If you lose it, you’ll need to generate a new one. The Offline access scope is required. Without it, Guardz can’t keep the connection signed in and the integration will disconnect.

3. Setting up the Integration

  • Open Guardz platform, and navigate to 'PSA Integrations'

  • Select the 'NinjaOone' option.

  • Select your NinjaOne region.

  • Paste the Client ID and Client secret you copied in Step 2.

  • Click Connect.

  • On the NinjaOne consent page, click Authorize.

4. Assign the Organizations

  • Create the customer mapping according to your preferences.

  • The list on the left shows all your tenants in Guardz, while the list on the right displays your organizations in NinjaOne.

5. Select the Mapping Strategy

  • Set the desired strategy according to your business preferences

  • You may set the following:

    • Alerts ↔ Tickets Synchronization

    • Issues mapping

    • Incident mapping

    • And others

Please refer to this article to learn more on the settings.

Post-setup Re-activation

Because of a NinjaOne configuration, each authorization is valid for 30 days. Refreshing the connection doesn’t extend this period, so you’ll need to renew the connection once a month.

Guardz shows the expiry date on the NinjaOne integration page and reminds you via email 7 days before it expires.

To renew the connection:

  1. In Guardz, go to PSA integrations and select NinjaOne.

  2. Click Renew.

  3. On the NinjaOne consent page, click Authorize.
