HaloPSA Integration Setup

1. Create required settings on HaloPSA

  • Go to the 'Configurations' section and then click on 'Integrations'

  • Click on 'HaloPSA API' and then click 'View Applications'

  • Click '+ New'

  • Provide the new integration with a relevant name and description

  • Select the 'Client ID and Secret' option (this generates the Client ID and Client Secret values, which are required when completing the integration on the Guardz side)

  • Select 'Agent' under 'Login Type' and pick the relevant user

  • Navigate to the 'Permissions' tab

  • Select the 'All' option and click 'Save'

2. Configure Agent & Team Roles

  • Admins may also want to configure the roles of therir own stuff

  • The Agent needs to be able read/write/create tickets

  • Safest minimal role setup (least privilege but functional) - Instead of full admin, configure:

    • Role:

      • View tickets (not limited to “own”)

      • Create tickets

      • Edit/update tickets

    • Access:

      • All required teams

      • All required ticket types

    • Optional but commonly required:

      • View customers (if linking tickets to users/sites)

3. Setting up the Integration

  • Open Guardz platform, and navigate to 'PSA Integrations'

  • Select the 'HaloPSA' option

  • Copy the Client ID and Client Secret from the newly created entity in HaloPSA (step 1) and insert them properly

  • Retrieve and copy the 'Base URL' from your HaloPSA account

  • Insert it and click 'Continue' (this may take a couple of minutes before proceeding to the next step)

4. Assign the Organizations

  • Create the customer mapping according to your preferences

  • The list on the left shows all your tenants in Guardz, while the list on the right displays your organizations in HaloPSA

5. Select the Mapping Strategy

  • Set the desired strategy according to your business preferences:

  • You may set the following:

    • Sync strategy

    • Priority mapping

    • Default status mapping

    • And others
