Customer Facing White Label
Updated over a week ago

Available in: Pro and Ultimate

White labeling allows you to seamlessly present users with your MSP brand, in place of Guardz. Utilize white labeling to strengthen your MSP brand and trusted security relationship with your customers.

To white label, you will create a custom subdomain. The custom subdomain will appear on emails, logins, web apps, the User Portal (awareness trainings and email quarantine), and links. Emails will be sent from the custom subdomain with your alias and reply-to address.

Note: The Customer Facing White Label has replaced the previous SMTP integration. If you have an SMTP setup, you will need to disconnect it. Once disconnected, the emails will stop being sent from the SMTP server and will be sent from the sec-portal.io domain. After that, update the email alias and the reply-to (these will appear once the SMTP is disconnected).

Setting Up Customer Facing White Label (subdomain + email)

  1. To set up, go to your avatar > Organization Settings > Customer Facing White Label. Next, select the pencil icon to edit.

  2. Then configure the white label settings:

Enter your subdomain address/name. We suggest using your company name so the users can better associate the url in their browser with your logo and contact info.

Enter your email reply-to address. If users reply to an email, their reply will be sent to this address.

Enter your email alias. Users will only see your alias and not your actual email address.

  3. Run a test to confirm that the white label is working. To do this, generate an awareness training and assign only yourself to it.

What Will Users See and How Will the Subdomain Function?

When the white label is configured...

  • Emails to users will be sent from the white label domain: [email protected]

  • All user-related links within emails will redirect to the white label domain: app-**.sec-portal.io (note that if you have SMTP setup, the SMTP will override the white label domain)

  • User portal routes will redirect to the MSP configured subdomain: my-domain.sec-portal.io

  • Login pages under the subdomain will display the MSP branding

  • The tab name and the favicon will carry the MSP branding

Note: Changing the subdomain will redirect users from the current URL to the new one. Links sent in previous emails will automatically redirect to this new domain. Reply-to and alias will only impact new emails.

Individual Organizations Settings and Override

MSPs can manage Organization Settings for individual customers by overriding the global settings, allowing them to have their logo and contact information front and center, as well as allow the use of co-managed customers to have their own logo and details.

The override feature provides greater flexibility, making it easier and more efficient for MSPs to manage customer settings in one place.

Key Benefits:

  • Streamlined Management: MSPs do not need to log in to individual tenant accounts. With just a few clicks, you can manage specific settings for each customer.

  • Customization: The ability to override global settings per customer ensures that each organization can have tailored configurations that meet their unique needs.

This feature empowers MSPs with enhanced control and efficiency, simplifying the process of managing multiple customers.

To override any global settings, select the Single Customer view and then toggle the Override Global Settings button.
