The Auto-Remediation feature in Guardz is designed to simplify and enhance how you manage security risks related to data sharing within your organization. This feature automates the process of identifying and remediating vulnerabilities, allowing you to secure your data quickly and efficiently. Here's an overview of how it works and what it can do for you:

What Does Auto-Remediation Do?

Auto-Remediation is a feature that allows administrators to take immediate action on exposed or vulnerable data with just a few clicks. This includes:

  1. Removing Public Links: Instantly remove links that make files or folders publicly accessible.

  2. Adjusting Sharing Permissions: Modify sharing settings to restrict access to only authorized users.

  3. Notifying Users: Alert users about security risks related to their shared data.

  4. Bulk Remediation: Address multiple issues at once, saving time and effort.

Key Benefits for Your Organization

  • Enhanced Data Security: Automatically resolve risks like exposed folders or files shared with external parties.

  • Time Savings: Eliminate the need for manual intervention with automated solutions.

  • Compliance: Ensure your organization meets data protection and privacy standards.

  • User-Friendly Interface: Easily manage remediation actions from a centralized dashboard.

How to Use It

  1. Identify Security Risks:

    • The Guardz dashboard displays a list of flagged issues, such as publicly exposed files or external shares.

  2. Select a Remediation Option:

    • Choose from multiple remediation actions, such as removing a public link, notifying the user, or adjusting permissions.

  3. Automate the Fix:

    • Once selected, Guardz automatically implements the changes, securing your data without requiring additional effort.

Google and Microsoft Integration

Auto-Remediation is fully compatible with Google Workspace and Microsoft environments. However, for Google Workspace users, additional permissions may need to be granted to enable full functionality. If permissions are missing, the platform will notify you with clear instructions on how to resolve it.

Getting Started

To start using Auto-Remediation:

  • Navigate to your Security Controls in the Guardz dashboard.

  • Review flagged issues and select the remediation action that best suits your needs.

  • Follow any additional prompts for permissions (if applicable) for seamless integration.
