1. "Scope Verification Error"
Overview
In some cases during the installation of one of Guardz applications (there are 4–5 different apps, each aligned with a specific security control), an admin installing a new app on behalf of a customer may encounter a scope verification error. This typically occurs when the installation is configured for specific users or groups, rather than being applied to the entire organization with full required permissions.
Additionally, the error may appear if one of the required permissions has been mistakenly revoked.
Resolution:
Scenario 1: Unable to login:
Make sure you are logged in as admin
Re-install the app
Scenario 2: “Timed-out waiting for scopes to be verified”:
Navigate to your Google apps list (make sure you are logged in with admin permission): Google Admin > Apps > Google Workspace Marketplace apps > Apps list.
Select the Guardz app you tried to install
Click on 'View organizational units and groups'
Mark the `ON for everyone` option and click `Save`
5. Verify all permissions are successfully granted
2. "Request Access" Issues
Overview:
If a Google Workspace administrator attempts to install the Guardz Security app but is prompted to request access (even though they have administrator privileges), the app approval must be completed in the Google Admin console.
Resolution:
Sign in to the Google Admin console: https://admin.google.com/
In the left navigation menu, go to Security → API Controls.
Select Apps Pending Review.
Locate the Guardz Security app in the list of pending apps.
Review and approve the app request.
Once the app has been approved, the administrator can proceed with the Guardz Security app installation.
