Delete Your Account

Deleting Your Own MSP Account

Organizations can be permanently deleted from the Guardz platform.

This article explains how to delete your own organization or how to delete a customer organization under your MSP account.

Please note that this action is irreversible and will permanently delete all related data. If there is any information you need to keep, make sure to export it before deleting the organization. To add the organization back, you will need to sign in again and complete the onboarding process from scratch.

⚠️ Before You Delete — Common Blockers and How to Clear Them

  1. Confirm you are the account admin in Guardz

Only the account admin can delete an organization. If you are not the admin, ask the account admin to perform the deletion or grant you admin access first.

  2. Pay all open invoices

Go to Subscription & Billing → Invoices. Any unpaid invoice will have a red label — click Pay and complete payment through the billing system. The system will not allow deletion until all invoices are settled.

Billing managed through Pax8? The invoice status is controlled outside Guardz. To proceed with deletion when Pax8 is blocking the operation, you will need to initiate the delete from the Pax8 console rather than from Guardz.

  3. Unassign the subscription before deleting

Go to Subscription & Billing → Unassign Plan and cancel the tenant's subscription. Canceling a subscription or trial does not delete the account — the customer record still exists until it is manually deleted.

  4. For MSP accounts: remove all managed customers first

Navigate to the Customers section and delete each managed customer before deleting your own organization. You will not see the Delete Organization option until all customer records have been removed.

  5. Remove all devices — and decommission SentinelOne agents in the S1 console

Removing a device in Guardz only deletes the record. If the SentinelOne agent is still installed on the endpoint, it will re-register automatically and the deletion will fail with an "active endpoints" error.

    You must complete both steps:

    • Remove all devices from the Devices page in Guardz.

    • Open the SentinelOne console, use the Decommissioned Agents filter to reveal any hidden devices, and decommission the agents there.

💡 Device unreachable? If a device no longer exists or you cannot access it to uninstall the agent, click Remove again in Guardz — the device will be force-removed without waiting for an uninstall confirmation from the endpoint.

  6. Disconnect Microsoft 365 integrations

If the tenant uses Microsoft 365, complete these cleanup steps before deleting. Otherwise, Guardz-linked rules and connectors will remain active in the M365 tenant even after the customer is removed from Guardz:

    1. Deactivate all security controls in Guardz for the tenant.

    2. Remove all Guardz-related addresses from Exchange Information Governance → Global Settings.

    3. Delete all Guardz-related transport rules from Exchange Admin Center → Transport Rules.

    4. Remove Guardz applications from the customer's M365 tenant: sign into the primary directory admin account, locate the connected Guardz apps, and delete them.

Note: Any allow/block lists from the old tenant are not transferred automatically. Export them before completing the deletion if you need to preserve them.

  7. Export any data you need before deleting

Deletion is permanent and irreversible. Export any logs, reports, or configuration data you want to keep before confirming deletion — there is no way to recover this data afterwards.

Still blocked after completing all steps?

If you've worked through the checklist and still see the error "You cannot delete this organization — We can't process your request, please try again later," contact Guardz support. A human agent can inspect your account directly and clear any remaining blockers from the backend.
