1. Google Workspace Integration
Once the permissions are granted, Guardz will monitor the user's configuration, such as missing MFA, inactive users, etc., and raise an alert when an issue is found.
To activate the integration, go to Security Control > 'Primary Cloud Directory' or add a customer to the MSP account. As part of the integration, you'll need to install the Guardz Detection application.
Prerequisites required for Guardz Detection installation
Activation needs to be done by an Admin in the Google account.
Installation of 'Guardz Detection'
Navigate to the Security Control > Primary Cloud Directory > Click on 'Connect'
Connect Cloud Directory: Review the information and click 'Install'
Review application information and click 'Admin Install' - Make sure you have admin permissions.
Review the 'Guardz Detection' permissions.
We recommend choosing 'Everyone at your organization' so that Guardz will be able to pull the entire users' list and provide full protection. If other options are selected, some users may not be protected by Guardz.
Click 'Finish' to complete the installation (this may take ~2 minutes)
Once completed, you'll see the confirmation message. Click 'Done' and close the window.
To verify successful installation, make sure the 'Primary Cloud Directory' and the 'User & Security Posture' are set to 'Active,' and the number of users should be visible.
You can also find the App now in your Google Admin account: Google Admin > Apps > Google Workspace Marketplace apps > Apps list.
2. Google Drive integration
Once the integration is in place, Guardz will scan your files and folders and raise an alert when an External share or suspicious activity is detected.
To implement Data Protection (DLP) for Google Drive, you'll need to install the 'Cloud Data Protection' application.

3. Email integration
Integrating Guardz with your email service will enable email protection. Guardz will scan your users' inboxes and raise issues when a risk is detected: Viruses, risky files, or spam emails.

Navigate to the Security Control > Email Protection > Click on 'Activate'
