What’s the Cloud Apps module about?

Businesses these days are using a wide variety of cloud platforms starting from products like Google Workspaces and Microsoft 365 to custom cloud-native applications.

As a result the data faces threats that simply didn’t exist before. Organizations must be able to ensure the data is protected while also facilitating productivity. Moreover, system admins need tools to highlight security gaps in user management and potential exposures of sensitive data.

Cloud Apps Module Capabilities

The Cloud apps feature allows you to integrate the different Cloud Apps you’re using into Guardz and expand the protection of the organization.

As part of the ‘Real Time Activation’ the Cloud Apps feature will get activated, and the main Cloud App integration will be to your primary directory - Microsoft 365 or Google.

Each integration will require different permissions.

Default directory protection - Google / Microsoft 365:

  • Detection of missing MFA for admins and users

  • Detection of inactive users

Cloud Apps Users Management

In the user management screen you can view the different Cloud Apps each user has under the left Cloud Apps column. While on the right Cloud Apps column you’ll see an alert when there is at least 1 open issue for the user related to Cloud Apps.

(x) There is an open issue for the user

(v) There are no outstanding issues related to the user

(?) When the feature is not yet active or the user has no active license
