How Archiving Works
An issue is automatically archived when it has had no new detection for 45 days or more, provided it is not classified as Critical or High severity. Critical and High severity issues are never auto-archived, regardless of age. This archiving mechanism is a fixed system behavior and is not configurable.
Archived issues remain accessible at any time from the archive. If an admin resolves the underlying problem for an archived issue, it moves to Closed status.
If a new detection occurs on an archived issue, the issue is reactivated.
Additional Information
Issues generated by Check Point Email Protection (Avanan) follow a separate auto-archiving rule: they are archived after 14 days of no new detection. This existing behavior is unchanged.
Archiving an issue may affect the account's security score.
Auto-archiving does not apply to demo accounts.
