Adaptive Security & Awareness Training (ASAT)

Overview:

Adaptive SAT (Security & Awareness Training) unifies phishing simulation and security awareness training into a single, AI-driven program. Admins complete a brief onboarding configuration, and the product then manages content selection, scheduling, and delivery for both phishing simulations and training automatically. This option suits MSPs who want an effective training program running in the background without ongoing manual management.

What Changes With Adaptive SAT

It runs itself:

There's no need to build or schedule campaigns per client. The MSP enrolls tenants and configures their setup; the AI runs the awareness program from there, and the MSP observes and steps in only when needed.

Training is personalized per user, not per campaign:

Each user gets a tailored roadmap of simulations and training based on their risk level, role, and history. New users are enrolled automatically as they're added.

Failures trigger teachable moments:

When a user fails a phishing simulation, a related awareness video is sent to them automatically.

Outcomes roll into a grade:

Each user's behavior is graded (Good / Average / Needs Work), and results feed into the Security & Awareness report.

Configuration works out of the box:

ASAT is configured per tenant and uses signals from across Guardz — identities, devices, and incidents — to determine the right training regimen for each customer.

How the AI Decisioning Works

The content library for phishing templates and training modules stays the same. What changes is the decision layer that determines how that content is used:

  • Phishing simulations:

The AI chooses which user receives a simulation, when it's sent, and which template is used. Frequency adapts to each user's risk — users who repeatedly fail simulations receive them more often.

  • Training:

The AI assigns the right module to each user, triggers the teachable-moment video when a simulation is failed, and grades ongoing behavior into the report.

Getting Started - Onboarding your Tenants to ASAT

Opening the Awareness section now leads directly to the Adaptive experience. From this view, admins can see the migration status of each tenant, including which tenants are still using the legacy (manual) SAT experience and which have already been migrated to Adaptive SAT.

To enroll all tenants, or a group of tenants, in a single operation:

  1. Go to the Awareness section and select Set Up Your Customers.

  2. Select the customers to enroll (all customers or specific ones).

  3. Click Continue.

  4. Define the desired program configuration to apply including:

    1. Main compliance driver

    2. Training schedule (controlling the training frequency)

    3. Simulation schedule (controlling the phishing simulation frequency

    4. Primary language

  5. Click Generate.

Generating the Adaptive program creates a six-month training plan for all enrolled customers, based on the selected configuration and program settings.

Additional Notes:

  • If the admin does not migrate all tenants during the initial onboarding flow, the remaining tenants can be migrated individually at a later stage directly from the main Security Awareness screen.

  • If Adaptive isn’t the right fit for a customer at a given time, they will remain visible in the legacy Phishing & Simulation dashboard even after being migrated to Adaptive, allowing admins to continue managing them through the legacy experience when needed.

  • The end-user experience remains unchanged. Users will continue to receive both training content and phishing simulations through the same existing experience, with no additional configuration required.

Ongoing Management

All Customers View:

The Security Awareness dashboard (Adaptive tab) gives an aggregate view across all enrolled customers, including overdue training, high-risk users, customers protected, and phishing fail rate.

The customer table below the dashboard shows, per customer:

  • Number of users

  • Coverage percentage

  • Overdue items

  • Next scheduled activity

  • Status (for example, At Risk or Needs Attention)

Specific Customer View

Selecting a customer from the table opens that customer's program view, showing the following details:

  • Users falling behind – number of users flagged as high risk, with the change over the last 14 days

  • Active users – percentage of the customer's users enrolled in the program

  • Simulation fail rate – percentage of simulations failed, with the change over the last 14 days

  • Training completion rate – percentage of assigned training completed, with the change over the last 14 days

Below these metrics, 3 lists show the customer's activity:

  • Latest steps (last 4 weeks) – simulations and training already sent, with the date and number of users each was sent to.

  • Next steps (next 6 weeks) – upcoming simulations, training, and reminders, with their scheduled date and number of users affected. The item scheduled to run soonest is marked Runs next.

  • Users view

    • Selecting an individual user opens their per-user view with a risk score, failed simulations, completed trainings, and submitted credentials, along with a Next Steps list showing recent and upcoming actions for that user.

    • From the users screen, an admin can skip or cancel a scheduled step. A reason must be provided, and the skip is recorded as an auditable event on that user's history.

    • Additionally, from this screen, admins can override the global or tenant-level configuration and apply custom settings to individual users.

Granular & Flexible Configuration

Configuration is granular and flexible: from the all-customers view, a global configuration can be set that applies across all customers, while specific customers can be excluded from the global setting and given their own configuration at the tenant level. Within a tenant, a specific user can also be opened and given a user-level configuration that overrides the tenant's settings.
