Browser Security is here: Prisma Browser for Business, built into Guardz

GA launch for Prisma Browser for Business

The browser is where your clients work, and where the click that starts an incident lands. Browser Security brings Palo Alto Networks Prisma Browser for Business into the Guardz platform, so you can license, deploy and configure it per client without leaving your console, and see what it catches alongside email, identity and endpoint.

What's new

  • Prisma Browser for Business, delivered through Guardz. Licensing, provisioning, deployment, seat sync and billing all run in the Guardz platform. One account, one bill, one support path, however many clients you manage.

  • Two ways to deploy. A browser extension for the Chromium browsers people already use (Chrome, Edge, Brave on Windows and macOS), or the standalone Prisma Browser for Windows, macOS and Linux. No MDM required for either.

  • Protection on by default. Malicious site blocking, phishing page blocking, file scanning and malicious extension blocking are active the moment it lands on a device.

  • Web filtering. Allow or block web categories or sites, so gambling, adult content, unvetted file sharing and anything else outside a client’s acceptable use policy never renders.

  • Data controls, configurable from Guardz. Restrict copy, paste, upload and download by website or by category, per client. Available on both the extension and the standalone browser.

  • Data guardrails. Detection for PCI, PHI and PII moving through the browser session.

  • Browser signals in your incidents. A browser block is attached to the related email, identity and endpoint activity in a single incident, with the same evidence available to the Guardz 24/7 MDR team.

  • AI Usage report. A per-client view of which AI tools are in reach and what posture is set against them, drawing on browser policy and Microsoft 365 app access. Prompt content is never collected or shown.

  • Events page. A dedicated page for critical, blocked and AI-usage related browser events.

Where you'll find it

  • Set up and configure: Security Controls → Browser Security.

  • Coverage at a glance: the home page, in Coverage by Radar and the browsers tile.

  • Per person: each user's details page shows Browser Security status in Single Customer mode.

  • In incidents: browser activity appears as supporting signals on the incidents it relates to.

  • Events: the browser events page stays hidden until a client has events to show, so an empty client sees nothing.

Good to know

  • Available in all regions. US, EU and AU

  • Plan requirements. Included with Elite. Available as a paid add-on on other plans.

  • Browser coverage. The extension covers Chromium browsers only. For Safari, Firefox, Linux machines or anywhere protection should not depend on which browser someone opens, deploy the standalone browser.

  • Secure Workspace is available on the standalone browser only.

  • More configuration is on the way. Further Prisma Browser for Business settings will be embedded in the coming weeks and months.

  • Console Access. Settings that have not moved into Guardz yet remain available in the Prisma Browser for Business console, linked from the security controls page.
